Salem United Church of Christ, 615 Third St., will be holding its first free community lunch of the new year 11 a.m. Jan. 6.

The event is open to the public. Come out for some good food and a chance for fellowship!

Catasauqua American Legion, 330 Second St., will be holding its next bar bingo 7 p.m. Jan. 7.

As we start the new year, this is a great time to consider becoming a member of the American Legion to take advantage of the many events that take place during the year. Support your community, and become a member!
