John J. Mayers, 83, of Northampton, died Dec. 15, 2019, at the Gardens for Memory Care, Easton. He was the husband of the late Helen Ann Mayers.

He was a son of the late Charles and Sarah (Heffelfinger) Mayers.

He was a laborer for 27 years for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation until he retired in 2001.

He was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Bath.

He was a longtime member of Bath Lion’s Club and was one of the founding members of Petersville Rod and Gun Club, Bath.

He was a volunteer for Boy Scout Troop 47, Bath, and for the Crayola Factory.

He is survived by a brother, Robert Mayers; a sister, Irene Flamisch; a companion, Lisa Feick; nieces; and nephews.

He was predeceased by nine brothers and sisters.
