Walter “Yogi Bear” Baron, 83, of Salisbury Township, died Dec. 15, 2019, in Manor Care - West Allen. He was the husband of Eleanor J. “Ellie” Baron. They were married for 43 years. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Stephen and Anna (Kasick) Baron.

He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army National Guard.

He worked for Bethlehem Steel in the 48” Mill for 40 years.

He was a member of St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Allentown.

In his spare time, he hung out at Yocco’s on Liberty Street. He loved bowling and going to the casino.

He is survived by his wife; daughter, Elizabeth E. “Betsy” Eisenhart, of Allentown; grand-dog, Judd; sister, Nancy and her husband John Bennett, of Whitehall; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers Stephen and Samuel.

A viewing will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Dec. 18 and 10 to 11 a.m. Dec. 19 in the K.V. Knopp Funeral Home, Inc., 46 E. Susquehanna St., Allentown. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Dec. 19 in the funeral home.
