Charles B. May, 98, of Northampton, died Dec. 13, 2019, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest. He was the husband of Mary (Black) Schmidt-May for 24 years.

Born in Corry, he was a son of the late Orville and Daisy (Bell) May.

He was in the U.S. Air Force during World War II.

He was a system analyst for IBM for more than 45 years. He was a security officer at Daytona Speedway for many years.

He was a member of Valley View Baptist Church, Northampton, where he volunteered for many functions.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Carol Bell and her husband Kerry; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; Mary’s family; and a great friend, Joseph Smar.

He was predeceased by a son, David; four brothers; and a sister.
