Walter “Tex” Torba Sr., 85, of Whitehall, died Nov. 14, 2019. He was the husband of Barbara (Mondrick) Torba for 47 years and of the late Marlene (Schultz) Torba.

Born in North Whitehall Township, he was a son of the late Michael Torba and Mary (Meeko) Torba Yuhas.

He was a graduate of Whitehall High School.

He was in the U.S. Army.

He worked at Phoenix Forging Company, Catasauqua, for 45 years before retiring in 1998.

He was a member of St. John Fisher Catholic Church, North Catasauqua.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Walt “Toby” Jr. and his wife Melissa of Center Valley; a granddaughter, Tatum; a brother, Mike and his wife Pauline of Bethlehem; and a sister, Jean and her husband Richard Garrison of North Catasauqua.

Services will be private.
