Christopher “Kip” Michael Ernst, 51, of Coplay, died Nov. 11, 2019, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest. He was the husband of Christine T. (Matuczinski) Ernst for 28 years.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of Walter R. and the late Carol A. (Szilezy) Ernst of Cementon.

He was a maintenance worker for Whitehall-Coplay School District for 20 years. He worked previously for Stahley’s Landscaping and Plantique for many years.

In addition to his wife and father, he is survived by two sons, William with Riley and James; a longtime friend David L. Polanki; a mother-in-law and father-in-law Barbara and Ronald Matuczinski; two sisters, Tricia Beidler with Kyle and Katrina with David; a sister-in-law, Tracy Ernst; four brothers, Brian with Julie, Matthew, Joseph with Rhonda and Zachary with Laura; a brother-in-law, Greg with Kelly Matuczinski; three nieces, Olivia Ernst and Emily and Erin Matuczinski; three nephews, Kasey and Nicholas Ernst and Blake Beidler; aunts; uncles; cousins; and extended family.

He was predeceased by a two sisters, Angela Louise and Tina Marie.
