Ruth E. Litzenberger, 97, from Chalfont, died Oct. 7, 2019, peacefully at home.

She was the widow of Melvin C. Litzenberger Sr.

Born in Trexlertown, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Anna (Bittner) Stump.

She worked at the former Brown Shoe Factory, Allentown, and was of the Lutheran faith.

Her survivors include sons Stanley Litzenberger, with whom she resided for the last five years and Melvin Jr. and wife, Brigette, of Lancaster County; daughters Patricia Koach, and Ellen Borgmann and husband, Michael, all of Philadelphia; six grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
