The Parkland girls volleyball team knocked off No. 3 seed Central Catholic Tuesday to advance to the semifinal round of the East Penn conference playoffs.
The Trojans (12-5 overall) earned the No. 6 seed for the league playoffs and traveled to the Vikettes’ gym for the first-round game.
Brynn Dreisbach led Parkland with 19 kills and 18 digs in the win. Amber Resendez (20 kills), Lauren Ceh (13 kills), Leah Brunnabend (20 digs) and Jackie Malitzki (52 assists) also were big contributors in the win.
The Trojans advance to face No. 2 seed Liberty Tuesday. The Hurricanes beat Pleasant Valley in their EPC opener Tuesday.
