Francis E. Ellis, 84, of Lower Macungie Township, died on Oct. 14, 2019, at home.

He and his wife, Linda E. (Erdman), shared more than 49 years of marriage.

Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Louis and Alta (Williams) Ellis.

Before retiring, he worked at BonTon and previously at Hess’s for 35 years, and Bethlehem Steel.

A member of Cedar Lutheran Church, Cetronia, South Whitehall, he served in the U.S. Army.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son Christopher John and his wife, Stacy, of Allentown; daughter Lori Roth and her husband, Stephen, of Breinigsville; brother James; three grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and one niece. He was predeceased by a brother Constantine.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Oct. 21 in Cedar Church, 3419 Broadway, South Whitehall. Calling begins at 10 a.m.
