Richard C. Schleppy, 73, of Moore Township, died Oct. 9, 2019, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Bethlehem. He was the husband of Kathleen E. (Kohler) Schleppy for 54 years.

Born in Fountain Hill, he was a son of the late Charles and Mary (Papp) Schleppy.

He last worked in the maintenance department for Carpenter Manufacturing, Fogelsville, until he retired in 2007. He worked in maintenance for the former Tarkett Manufacturing, Whitehall, for 33 years.

He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Bath, where he was an usher for many years and was active with the annual church picnic committee.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Lisa A. and her husband Brian Weaver of Bath; two sons, Richard C. Schleppy II of Bath and Jason M. Dorner of Bethlehem; three brothers, Erwin and his wife Dawn of Bethlehem, Gerald of Macungie and Calvin with Mikey of Bethlehem; and two stepgrandsons, Casey and family and Nikki.

He was predeceased by a sister; and five brothers.
