Philomena Bloomfield, 89, died Oct. 11, 2019. She was the wife of the late Edward W. Bloomfield.

She was a daughter of the late Lucy (Maredo) and Theodore John Fritz Sr.

She was a graduate of St. Ann’s High School, Lansford, and had been the class secretary.

She was a seamstress for 17 years.

She was a member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Roman Catholic Church, Whitehall.

She is survived by three children, Dr. Cheryl Bloomfield and her husband Kurt Wilson, Edward John and his wife Kristen and Marilyn Gemmel and her husband Greg; a brother, Gabriel Fritz and his wife Dolores; a sister-in-law, Frances Fritz; nieces; nephews; cousins; and 14 godchildren.

She was predeceased by her brothers, Francis Fritz and Theodore “Juny” J. Fritz Jr.; an infant sister, Philomena; and a nephew, John Fritz.

There will be a viewing 9 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian burial 10 a.m., Oct. 17 at the church, 618 Fullerton Ave.
