Anna Mae “Tootsie” Snyder

Anna Mae “Tootsie” Snyder, 87, of Walnutport and formerly of Northampton, died Oct. 9, 2019, at her home. She was the wife of the late Frank C. Snyder.

Born in Coplay, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Soldritch and Anna (Paukovits) Soldritch-Derkits.

She was a former crossing guard for the Northampton Police Department and previously employed by the former Cross Country Clothes, Northampton.

She was a member of Queenship of Mary Catholic Church, Northampton.

She is survived by two sons, Donald with Janice of Allentown and Frank with Anne of Northampton; three daughters, Donna Yelles with Richard of Bath, Jean Handler with Joseph and Deborah Fritz with Michael, all of Walnutport; a sister, MaryAnn Hetten of Northampton; a brother-in-law, Robert Solderich of Northampton; two granddaughters, Michelle Yelles and Gabrielle Fritz; six grandsons, Michael Fritz Jr., Richard Yelles Jr., Justin J. and Jason J. Handler and Frank and Joshua Snyder; seven great-grandchildren; nieces; and nephews.

She was predeceased by a sister, Loretta Solderich; and a brother-in-law, Joseph Hetten.

Services are private.

Contributions may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association, c/o the funeral home, 2119 Washington Ave., Northampton, 18067.
