Jeremiah “Jerry” Longenbach, 76, of Whitehall, died Oct. 4, 2019. He was the husband of May G. (Rice) Longenbach for 52 years.

Born in Northampton, he was a son of the late Calvin and Hallie H. (Heckman) Longenbach.

He was in the U.S. Army during peacetime.

He worked in maintenance at Moravian Academy for many years until he retired. He worked earlier in the pepper mill of Durkee Foods.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Debra Schuster and her husband Steven of Catasauqua and Kimberly Longenbach and fiancee Michelle Orellano of Whitehall; four grandchildren, Jacob and his wife Morgan, Zachary, Bella and Aiden; two great-granddaughters, Adalyn and Charlotte; two brothers, Calvin and Richard and his wife Steph; a sister-in-law, Lorraine Longenbach; three brothers-in-law, John Rice, George Rice and his wife Joanne and Richard Rice.

He was predeceased by four brothers.
