Richard H. Stewart, 80, of Coplay, died Sept. 22, 2019, in St. Luke’s Hospice House, Lower Saucon Township.
He and his wife, Patricia L. (George) Stewart, were married 57 years.
Born July 2, 1939, in Breinigsville, he was the son of the late Harry W. and Evelyn (Souders) Stewart.
He faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during a peacetime era.
A tractor-trailer driver for Precision Roll Grinders, Kuhnsville, for 33 years, he retired in 2004.
Before that, he worked at the former Standard Plastics.
Serving as Worthy Master of Schnecksville Grange 1684, he was actively involved in the grange since 1955.
He was a member of Union United Church of Christ, Neffs.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons Richard H. Jr. and his wife, Andrea, and Scott D., all of Coplay; brother James C. Stewart of New York; and grandchildren Andrew and Amber.
He was predeceased by a brother, Ronald.
