The Moravian College men’s tennis team dropped a pair nonconference contests in a tri-match at DeSales University Sunday, falling to the host Bulldogs, 7-2, and dropping an 8-1 decision to rival Muhlenberg College.
In the opening match versus DeSales, the Hounds picked up a point at first doubles when freshman Adrian Condes (Eastern Regional (N.J.) HS) and Justin Szaro (Freedom HS) earned an 8-5 victory.
Freshman Andrew Hozza (Northampton HS) scored a 6-0, 4-6, 10-8 win at fifth singles for Moravian’s other point.
Hozza had the Greyhounds’ only point against the Mules with a 6-0, 6-3 singles victory. Hozza and fellow sophomore Neil Guarino (Palisades HS) nearly pulled out their third doubles match against Muhlenberg, falling by an 8-6 score.
