Nancy L. Barr, 84, of Schnecksville, died Aug. 26, 2019, in Luther Crest Health Center, South Whitehall.

She and her husband, John E. Barr, were married 60 years in February.

Born March 26, 1935, in Ellwood City, Lawrence County, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth B. McConahy Sr. and Mary Lucille (McCaslin) McConahy.

After graduating in 1956 from the UPMC Shadyside School of Nursing, Pittsburgh, she was a registered nurse at several hospitals throughout Pennsylvania and with U.S. Steel Company.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Ellwood City.

In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by a daughter Lee Ann M. Coles and her husband, Patrick, of Virginville; daughter-in-law Stella M. Barr of Orefield; brother Paul R. McConahy and his wife, Laura, of Ellwood City; grandsons Eric, Brian, Patrick and Zachary; great-grandchildren Brooke, Brecon, Briggs and Breena.

She was predeceased by a son, Timothy J., and siblings Kenneth B. Jr. and Mary Elizabeth Thompson.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Aug. 30 in Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville, with the Rev. Dr. David Charles Smith officiating.

Family and friends may pay their respects 1-2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Interment will follow the service at Union Church Cemetery, Neffs.
