Claudia A. Samer, 75, of Macungie, died peacefully Aug. 24, 2019, surrounded by her family. She was the wife of Frank S. Samer. They celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary in May. Born in Coaldale, she was the daughter of the late Claude F. and Mary Agnes (Piaia) Whitehead.
She was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Allentown.
She was the part-owner/operator “Boss Lady” of Total Imaging, Emmaus.
She was past president of the Woman’s Guild at St. Thomas More Church and past secretary of the Woman’s Club, Tinton Falls, N.J.
She loved to decorate her church and taught Msgr. Murphy how to hug.
She is survived by her husband; son, Anthony and his wife, Rachel; daughter, Jennifer and her husband, Anthony Navarro; daughter, Claudine and her husband, Hugh Stubblefield; brother, Robert and his wife, Meegan; grandchildren Ian, Anthony, Sebastian, Aidan, Paige, Alex, Nathan and Jacqueline; granddog, Jake.
Contributions may be made to Lehigh Valley Hospice or LVH Pediatric Cystic Fibrosis Fund, c/o funeral home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Aug. 31 at St. Thomas More Church, 1040 Flexer Ave., Allentown, Calling will be 6 to 9 p.m. Aug. 30 in the O’Donnell Funeral Home, 908 Hanover Ave., Allentown and 10 to 11 a.m. Aug. 31 in the church. The family requests that you bring memories of Claudia to share.
