John L. Bowman, 75, of Orefield, died July 29, 2019, at home.

He and his wife Jane Y. (Bagenstose) Bowman were married 55 years in June.

Born in New Tripoli, he was a son of the late Bertha I. (Young) Bowman.

He worked for Roofers Local 30 for many years.

Before that, he worked for the Packaging Corp. of America, Trexlertown.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, John H. and daughter, Bonnie A., both of Orefield; sisters Eva “Dolly” Feinour of Schnecksville, Marion Kohler of Kutztown, and Betty Gordon of Arizona; grandchildren Cameron, Andrew and Aidan; and nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by brothers Richard and Alvin.

His memorial service will be 11 a.m. Aug. 3 at Keller Funeral Homes Inc., 1018 Church St., Fogelsville, with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will be private.
