To the Editor:

On Tuesday evening July 30, the South Whitehall Township government will hold its third meeting on the 2019 Revision of the Township Comprehensive Plan that will guide development in our community for the next 10 years.

This meeting is open to the public to report the input collected thus far regarding future development strategies for the township.

Many of us were caught off guard when large developments were brought into public view in recent years with traffic and safety concerns.

The pathway to that development was born many years ago with rezoning of the land, and it was further influenced by the inclusion of the overlay zones in the 2009 Comprehensive Plan document.

Development in South Whitehall Township for the next 10 years will be guided by the 2019 Comprehensive Plan currently being written.

This is your opportunity to listen to input already collected, and have your voice play a role in the future of our township.

The meeting will be held 6 p.m. July 30 at Parkland High School, 2700 Cedar Crest Blvd.
