David J. Correll, 69, of Saylorsburg, died June 30, 2019, in St. Luke’s Hospital, Monroe Campus.

He and his wife, Shirley M. (Peiffer) Correll, were married nine years last September.

A son of the late John H. and Laurene M. (Scherer) Correll, he worked in the maintenance department of the Allentown Post Office for 20 years.

He was a member of Jordan Lutheran Church, Orefield.

Having honorably served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War, he was a member of the American Legion and the Kunkletown Rod and Gun Club.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters Lorraine Horst and her husband, Keith, of Landisburg, and Angela Belcher and her husband, Carl, of Hummelstown; son Anthony Marino of Albrightsville; brother Darrell L. and companion, Sue Tough, of Allentown; grandchildren Martina, Derrick, Aaron, Nathan, Owen, Kendall, David, Courtney, Dalton and Bryce; and godson, Matthew Greenawald.
