James R. Hite Sr., 78, of South Whitehall Township, died peacefully June 6, 2019, at home.

He and his wife, Monica (Dudding) Hite were married 58 years.

He was the proud father of Carol, James Jr., David and Brian; grandparent of Monica, Zachary, Chelsea, Dylon, Jessica, Maxwell and Jared; and great-grandparent of Skyla, and soon to be Sean.

The son of the late Raymond and Edna (Green) Hite, he was the brother of Clarence, Robert and Nancy.

He was predeceased by siblings Bernice, Raymond, Judith, Kathleen and Richard.

Retired from Apollo Metals, Bethlehem, after 34 years, he was previously employed by the Trojan Powder Company, South Whitehall Township.

He requested a private remembrance at the convenience of his immediate family.
