The National Museum of Industrial History debuted to the public the 115-ton Corliss steam engine exhibit from May 31 to June 2 at the museum, 602 E Second St. The most powerful operating water works steam engine in North America, it is fully operational after a decade-long restoration thanks to the contributions of local companies and volunteers.
The exhibit is open to the public. There will be special programs by museum experts and guest lecturers, sponsored by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and the York Water Company.
