The inaugural BB&T Lehigh Valley Charity Challenge for independent nonprofits serving less fortunate women and children recently announced that a total of 25 thousand dollars will be given to five local organizations. The recipients and the amounts are Community Services for Children, seven thousand dollars; Valley Youth House, six thousand dollars; My Sister’s Closet, five thousand dollars; Mary’s Shelter/Cay Galgon Center, four thousand dollars; and Miracle League of the Lehigh Valley, three thousand dollars.

The winners were chosen based on entries submitted online by valley residents during March 2019.
