Carl M. Herman
Carl M. Herman, 79, of New Tripoli, died May 26, 2019, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.
He and his wife, Donna E. (Hermany) Herman, celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary in September 2018.
Born in New Tripoli, he was a son of the late Martin and Mabel (Hartman) Herman.
He was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Army from 1961-64, and he also served in the National Guard.
A truck driver from 1964-82, and a truck mechanic for the former Schumakers Sales and Service in Kutztown, and Laidlaw in Macungie, from 1982 until he retired in 2002.
He delivered auto parts during his retirement for Northern Valley Auto Parts, New Tripoli.
He was a member of Ebenezer United Church of Christ, New Tripoli, the New Tripoli Fire Company and the Macungie Veterans Association.
In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by his daughter, Michelle R., wife of Brian Bitner of Zionsville; granddaughter Isabella Bitner; brother-in-law Richard Hermany of New Tripoli; nieces, nephews and their families.
He was predeceased by brothers, Russell and Mark Herman.
His funeral service will be 11 a.m. May 30 in Robert S. Nester Funeral Home, 8405 Kings Highway New Tripoli, with a calling hour to begin at 10 a.m.
Interment immediately following service in the Ebenezer Union Cemetery, New Tripoli.
The Rev. Scott L. Shay will officiate.
