Bath: Tribute to late artist planned for May 23

There will be a tribute to the late artist Brenda Faye Zellner 6-8 p.m. May 23 on South Chestnut Street. Her work will be on display in many of the shops along the street.

There will be live music by Trick Stacy and more.

A silent auction of Brenda’s paintings will be held to benefit the Governor Wolf Historical Society and Last Chance Ranch.

During the month of May, Emmanuel’s Lutheran Church, 3175 Valley View Drive, will help the Bath Area Food Bank by collecting peanut butter, shampoo and soap products.

The bank is no longer accepting Jell-O or pudding.

Grocery gift cards, preferably for Ahart’s, are needed for emergencies. Place all gift cards in an envelope marked “food bank” on the church secretary’s desk.

There are currently 264 families registered at the food bank.

Emmanuel’s church will begin its summer worship schedule June 2. The traditional worship in the sanctuary will be 8:45 a.m., and the celebration worship in the fellowship hall begins 10 a.m.

***

Petersville Rod & Gun Club, 550 Club Road, invites all to attend bingo every Thursday. The doors open 6 p.m., and bingo starts 7 p.m. The kitchen is always open.
