Kenneth P. Yost, 80, of Northampton, died May 1, 2019, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg. He was the husband of Kay (Hughes) Yost for 52 years.
Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Wilson and Arlene (Schmoyer) Yost.
He was a 1958 high school graduate with automotive studies from vo-tech at Allentown High School.
He was a private first class in the U.S. Army during the Cuban missile crisis.
He was a mechanic for Penske Truck Leasing, Allentown, for 38 years before retiring. He then worked at U.S. Security Associates Inc. as a security guard.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Kimberly A. and her husband Richard Landis of Allentown and Karen L. Yost of Northampton; five sisters, Althea Smith of Allentown, Roberta McClanahan of Easton, Marion Shook of Catasauqua, Marsha Yost-Peterson and her husband Daryl of Bethlehem and Cindy Yost; three grandchildren, Stephanie, Thomas and Jeffrey; and three great-grandchildren, Daniel, Josiah and Gianni.
He was predeceased by a brother, Charles Yost; and a sister, Darlene Conger.
