Jack W. Sober

Jack W. Sober, 77, of Catasauqua, died May 4, 2019, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg. He was the husband of Connie A. (Saupp) Sober for 55 years.

Born in Williamsport, he was a son the late William B. and Dorothy A. (Bower) Sober.

He was a Williamsport High School graduate where he held many state and national track records.

He was an apprentice for the Sun Gazette, Williamsport. He then was a pressman for The Morning Call for many years until he took retirement.

He was a former Jaycees member. He was active with the Boy and Girl Scouts and was a Catasauqua High School band parent.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by five children, Kristine Michaels, Jill W. and her wife Tracy Sober-White, Jack D. and his wife Katrina L., Heather L. and her husband Steven Trumbo and Suzanne E. and her husband Marshall W. Wooley; a brother, Harry and his wife Barbara; nine grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; nieces; and nephews.

He was predeceased by four brothers, William, Paul, Donald and (Charles) Leroy Sober; and a granddaughter, Randi J. Michaels.

Services will be private.
