Edward P. Oncheck, 73, of Germansville, died May 1, 2019, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

He and his wife Diana M. (Sasnauskas) Oncheck were married 33 years last Nov. 2.

Born Jan. 3, 1946, in Walnutport, he was the son of the late Frank Sr. and Mary (Seiler) Oncheck.

He faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War era and was later employed at the Department of Defense, Philadelphia, for 30 years.

Before that, he worked for American Nickeloid, Walnutport, for several years.

He was a life member of Egypt VFW Post 7293 and a member of the Knights of Columbus, Langhorne.

He was of the Catholic faith.

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by sisters Theresa E. Jones of Oviedo, Fla., Kathleen J. Grammes of Slatington, Stella L. Schoch and her husband, Brian, of Walnutport; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was predeceased by siblings, Frank S. Jr., Mary Ann Bishop and Ann Marie Meckes.
