Northampton Area Public Library: Sip and Shop event will be held May 4

Join the Friends of Northampton Area Public Library for a Sip and Shop event 6-8 p.m. May 4.

Shop from vendors such as Paparazzi Jewelry, Tastefully Simple, Scentsy, Thirty-One and more.

Presale tickets are currently on sale at the library. Call for more information.

Ken Rainere, author of “A Living Legacy: Architecture of A.W. Leh,” will present the “Life in Fountain Hill Mansion” program 6 p.m. May 10.

The presentation is about the life and home of Elisha Packer Wilbur, president of Lehigh Valley Railroad and a South Bethlehem financier.

Can you stack Oreos the fastest or be the quickest to sort M&M’S? Join the library for Teen Chocolate Olympics 3 p.m. May 15 to find out.

Celebrate the last season of “Game of Thrones” with our themed escape room 6 p.m. May 17. Find the clues, solve the puzzles and escape the room!

This event is for adults 18 and over.

The spring yard sale is planned for 8 a.m.-1 p.m. May 18. The library will begin accepting donations May 6.

Spaces are still available to rent for the event.

The Friends group is also accepting donations to be sold at its table.

Family fun day is the first day to sign up for summer programs and summer reading. Enjoy the day 9 a.m.-noon June 1 with sand art, face painting and more as you sign up for programs.

The special guest this year will be from Garrison Carida, the world’s premiere charity-focused “Star Wars” costuming organization.

What do you do when your kids don’t want your stuff? Are you preparing to move or downsize?

Jill, from Seniors Move By Design, will present a program 1:30 p.m. June 12 on how clutter can affect your health, how to decide what to keep and let go and where to give your unwanted stuff.

The Friends group is running a bus trip to “Marvel: A Universe of Super Heroes” at the Franklin Institute June 14. Tickets are currently on sale at the library.
