Lehigh Township: Historical society schedules trout fishing derby April 27
The Lehigh Township Historical Society is holding its second annual trout fishing derby fundraiser April 27 at the Indian Creek Fishing Farm, 3479 Mango Drive, Danielsville.
Registration begins 8 a.m., and fishing starts 9 a.m. No fishing license is required.
There is a fee. There will be food and refreshments.
In addition to a door prize and 50/50 drawing, a prize will be awarded for the largest fish.
The event is sponsored by Barry Haydt, Silfies Fuel LLC and David L. Hess Concrete Contracting LLC.
Proceeds will be used to operate and maintain the restored St. Paul’s Schoolhouse and the Lehigh Township Historical Society’s Historical Centre.

Hope Lutheran Church, 4131 Lehigh Drive, will hold a family movie night April 27. The movie, “Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey,” begins 6:30 p.m. Doors open 6 p.m.
Hot dogs, popcorn and drinks will be provided. For your comfort, bring a chair or blanket.
Everyone is welcome.

Salem United Methodist Church, 1067 Blue Mountain Drive, will hold a soup sampler 4:30-6:30 p.m. April 27.
A portion of the proceeds go to Bath Food Pantry.

The Indianland Garden Club annual plant auction and sale will be held at Hope Lutheran Church May 14. The sale begins 6 p.m., followed by the auction 7 p.m.
