The 2019 Spring-Summer Kids Closet Sale will be held April 16 through 18 at Penn’s Peak, 325 Maury Road, Jim Thorpe.

The sale, 5-9 p.m. April 16, is for VIP passholders and new moms. The sale will be open to the public 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. April 17 and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 18.

The longtime community resource that helps families save money on children’s necessities has a new owner.

The Times News and Lehigh Valley Press purchased the Kids Closet Sale from Danielle Andreas, who started the consignment sale nearly a decade ago, and will build on Andreas’ vision this April. The paperwork was finalized Tuesday.

“We’ve been talking about getting into hosting events for a few months, and when Danielle posted that after nine years, she was giving (the Kids Closet Sale) up and if anyone was interested to contact her, I thought it was a sign,” Jennifer Benninger, advertising director for the Times News, said. “It is family oriented. We thought it was a great fit.”
