The Northampton track and field team split a meet with Pocono Mountain West.

The girls won 108.5-41.5 while the boys fell 79-70.

The girls were led by Amber Poniktera who took first in the 800 and the 1600. Raine Korpics won the 400 while Georgia Wiswesser captured the 3200. Sara Gantz was first in the 100 hurdles.

All three girl relay teams took first.

In the field events, Mikayla Davidson won the pole vault and Abigail Czarnecki won in the long jump. Reia Sanchez took first in the javelin.

On the boys side, Evan Gillette won the 1600 and 3200 events despite a close loss.

Brandon Kitz won the 400 while Dalton Domchek took the 800 in other running events. Meanwhile, the 1600 and 3200 relay teams won for the boys.

In the field events, Tyler Gilliard, Jacob Czarnecki and Aaron Marth came away with wins. Gilliard won the high jump while Czarnecki took the pole vault and Marth took the shot put.
