Ralph A. Eckhart Jr., 92, of Allen Township, died April 2, 2019, at his home. He was the husband of Janet (Feidler) Eckhart for 38 years.

Born in Towamensing, he was the son of the late Ralph A. Eckhart Sr. and Ruth (French) Kincaid.

He served his country as a Seaman Second Class in the U.S. Navy.

He was employed by Bethlehem Steel Corporation as an electric furnace operator for 43 years before retiring in 1992.

He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Kreidersville.

He was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the Greenleaf Lodge 561 F&AM.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, William D. and his wife Glenda of Lehighton; a stepdaughter, Terri and her husband Michael Begany Jr. of Allentown; two sisters, Joyce Madouse of Easton and Evelyn Kurtz of Bethlehem; a half brother, Theodore Kincaid and his wife Geraldine; six grandchildren: Susanne, Michael III, Tiffanie, Amanda, Gina and Will.

He was predeceased by a son, Ralph A. III; his first wife, Ruth M. (Lawrence) Eckhart; and six brothers, Willard, Charles, Francis, Ernest, Dickie and Butch.
