Jeffrey A. Gerhard, 62, of Whitehall, died April 5, 2019. He was the husband of Katherine M. (Marushak) Gerhard for 40 years.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Henry and Nannette “Nan” (Fetzer) Gerhard Raber and stepson of June Gerhard and the late Edgar A. Raber.

He graduated from Whitehall High School in 1974. He was a two-time inductee into the Whitehall High School Sports Hall of Fame.

He currently was operations manager for the Coplay-Whitehall Sewer Authority for over 40 years.

He coached baseball and football in both Hokendauqua and Coplay.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Amanda and her husband Jon Bashore of Whitehall; three sons, Drew and his wife Nanci of New Tripoli, Kurt and his wife Alyssa of Kempton and Bruce of Whitehall; four grandchildren, Kendall, Derek, Riley and Luke; a sister-in-law, Brenda (Hill) Gerhard of Florida.

He was predeceased by two brothers, Henry “Skip” and Ronald.

There will be a visitation 10-10:45 a.m. followed by funeral services 11 a.m. April 11 at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3355 MacArthur Road, Whitehall.
