Moore Township: Rod, gun club to host live music event

Point Phillips Rod & Gun Club, 1035 Smith Gap Road, is having live music featuring Jesse Wade April 6 beginning 7 p.m.

There is a cost. The kitchen will be open.

Point Phillips is also having an all-you-can-eat breakfast 8-11:30 a.m. April 14.

The 3-D archery registration at the club opens 7 a.m. April 14.

Klecknersville Rangers Volunteer Fire Company, 2718 Mountain View Drive, is having a craft and direct sales associate fair 10 a.m.-3 p.m. April 7.

The Klecknersville fire company also invites the community to a breakfast with the Easter Bunny 8 a.m.-noon April 14.

Christ United Church of Christ, Little Moore, 913 S. Mink Road, is having a spring bazaar 9 a.m.-1 p.m. April 13.

There will be free goody bags for the first 20 adults and five children as well as homemade Easter candy, baked goods, white elephant and crafts.

Bring a camera or cellphone for free pictures with the Easter Bunny.

The church also has an Easter egg hunt scheduled for 10:30 a.m. April 14.

Moore Township residents are invited to participate in a countywide electronic recycling event 9 a.m.-noon April 13 at Waste Management Grand Central Sanitary Landfill, 910 W. Pennsylvania Ave., Pen Argyl.

There are fees for some items.

The Commonwealth Financing Authority announced approvals of Local Share Account grant funds for a number of Northampton County projects.

State Sen. Mario Scavello, R-40th, joined state Reps. Marcia Hahn, R-138th; Joe Emrick, R-137th; and Zach Mako, R-183rd, in announcing $981,616 of approved grants in their combined legislative districts.

Moore Township received funding for police vehicle and computer system upgrades.

LSA grants support economic development, job training, community improvement and public interest projects through gaming funds under Act 71 of 2004. These specific grants come from Monroe County, which funds projects in Monroe and its contiguous counties.
