Lehigh Township: Basket social, bake sale are planned
St. Nicholas Catholic Church, 1152 Oak Road, Berlinsville, will hold its spring basket social and bake sale March 30 and 31. The hours are 9 a.m.-6 p.m. March 30 and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. March 31. The drawing will be 1:30 p.m. March 31. Winners do not need to be present to win.
This event will have baskets designed to appeal to all age groups, as well as a bake sale to satisfy a sweet tooth.
The kitchen will be open with homemade hot food for sale, both to eat in or take out.

The St. Nicholas Parish Knights of Columbus Council 16656, in partnership with the Miller-Keystone Blood Center, will be sponsoring a blood drive 10 a.m.-1 p.m. April 6 at the parish social hall.

The Lehigh Township Historical Society Finally Spring basket social fundraiser will be held April 7 at Blue Mountain Fish & Game Association, 4190 Wood Drive.
Doors open noon, and the drawing will be held 3:30 p.m. Winners do not need to be present to win.
The kitchen will be open.
All proceeds benefit the historical society and St. Paul’s Schoolhouse maintenance.

Blue Mountain Fish & Game Association and the Bertsch-Hokendauqua-Catasauqua Watershed Association will host a free wildlife program 6:30 p.m. April 12 in the Blue Mountain clubhouse, 4190 Wood Drive. The program follows the first spring trout stocking to be held 5 p.m. at the lake.
Food and beverages will be available between stocking and the program.
The Pocono Wildlife Rehabilitation Center is a refuge where injured or orphaned wildlife is cared for until they are healthy enough to be released into their natural habitat. The animals too badly injured to be released become educational ambassadors.

The 21st annual spring basket social at Hope Lutheran Church, 4131 Lehigh Drive, Cherryville, will be held April 12. Doors open 4 p.m. The ticket drawing begins 7:30 p.m.
Bring a nonperishable item for the food bank. Refreshments, including baked goods, will be sold.
If you are interested in donating to the event, drop off a themed basket, gift card with a receipt, bottled water, soda or baked goods 6-8 p.m. April 11 or 10 a.m.-noon April 12.
