George Larkin Burch, 94, of Whitehall, died March 19, 2019. He was the husband of the late Catherine (Gresser) Burch for 67 years.

Born in Stewartsville, N.J., he was a son of the late George and Mildred (Schenewolf) Burch.

He served in the South Pacific during World War II with the U.S. Marine Corps.

He is survived by a daughter, Kathy and her husband Michael Carey; three granddaughters, Megan and her husband Tom Collins, Lauren and her fiance Kyle Buck and Taylor Carey; a daughter-in-law, Bernadine Burch; and five siblings, Mildred “Pete” Sell, Robert Burch, June Hanley, Elizabeth Medernach and Lynn O’Callahan.

He was predeceased by a son, George P. Burch; and five siblings, Ruth Kunkle, Frances Stephens, Ann Kraynak, Barbara Keefer and Edwin Burch.
