Joanne E. Kuntz, 84, of Northampton, died March 11, 2019, at Cedarbrook Nursing Home, Allentown. She was the wife of Arnold C. Kuntz for 64 years.

Born in Northampton, she was a daughter of the late Kermit Haldeman and Catherine (Berg) Haldeman.

She was a Northampton Area High School graduate.

She was a part-time clerk for the former Northampton Hardware for two years. Before that, she worked at the former Miller’s Department Store for five years and the former Coleman’s Department Store for three years, all in Northampton.

She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, Cherryville, where she helped with the church’s basket socials.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Mark A. and his wife Kim of Slatington; a daughter, Kathy A. and her husband James Spitzer of Greer, S.C.; four grandchildren, Todd, Cortney, Katelyn and Kelsey; and one great-grandchild, Brady.

She was predeceased by two brothers, Donald and Robert; and a sister, Gail.

Services are private and at the convenience of the family.
