Gladys Bowen, 96, formerly of Catasauqua, died March 10, 2019, at Sacred Heart Senior Living, Northampton. She was the wife of the late Sterling (Duffy) Bowen for 69 years.

She was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, where she once sang in the choir.

She and her husband delivered food for Meals on Wheels for 20 years.

She is survived by a daughter, Gail Gist of Whitehall; a son, Gary and his wife Nancy of Bethlehem Township; six grandchildren, Janet York, Carol and her husband Dennis Roach, Gary and his wife Victoria York, William York, Audrey and her husband Damien Taranto and Steven Bowen; and five great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a brother, Dale Spangler.
