Jeanette L. Shoemaker, 81, formerly of Allen Township, died March 8, 2019, at Gracedale Nursing Home, Nazareth.

Born in Northampton, she was a daughter of the late Earl W. and Loretta (Fogel) Praetorius.

She was a 1955 graduate of the former Coplay High School.

She was a secretary for the former McGowan Law Office, Allentown, for many years before retiring in 1995. She was earlier a secretary for Bethlehem Steel Company.

She was a member of Zion Stone United Church of Christ, Kreidersville.

She is survived by a daughter, Stephanie and her husband James Shiner of Philadelphia; two sisters, Marianne D. and her husband Earl W. Brunner of Treichlers and Phyetta and her husband Edward Pflugler of Nazareth; a sister-in-law, Patricia Praetorius; two grandchildren, Cassandra and Trevor; nieces; and nephews.

She was predeceased by a brother, William E. Praetorius; and a sister, Delores Derhammer.
