Daniel C. Roman

Daniel C. Roman, 75, of Slatington and formerly of Whitehall, died March 1, 2019, in his home. He was the husband of Patricia J. (Genovese) Roman for 49 years.

Born in Fort Bragg, N.C., he was a son of the late Carl Anthony and Pauline Ann (Tunella) Roman.

He was in the U.S. Navy during the Cuban Missile Crisis as a radioman on the USS Long Beach, the first nuclear powered missile cruiser to travel the world.

He was the founder, president and chief executive officer of the former Centurion Business Forms Inc., Coplay, for 25 years before he retired in 2005.

He was a member of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Slatington, and was, when he lived in Whitehall, a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. At both churches, he sang with the choir and was a lector.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, Loretta S. of Whitehall, Dale and his wife Stephanie and Christopher A., all of Slatington; two brothers, James of Philadelphia and Matthew of Perkasie; two sisters, Marsha McGraw and Christina Ball, both of Allentown; and three grandchildren, Megan, Jacob and Terence.

He was predeceased by a sister, Carol Lea Roman.

Services are private and at the convenience of the family.
