Violet A. Baer, 92, formerly of Schnecksville, died Feb. 20, 2019, in Phoebe Home, Allentown.
She was the wife of the late Richard T. Baer.
Born July 17, 1926, in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Earl H. and Emma E. (Neff) Werley.
She was a crossing guard at Schnecksville Elementary School in the Parkland School District, for 35 years before retiring in 1999.
A member of Union United Church of Christ, Neffs, she served with Helping Hands and the Fellowship Committee.
She and her late husband, were recognized with the Catch the Spirit Award in 1999.
She also formerly volunteered her time in the kitchen at Community Fire Co. No. 1, Schnecksville.
Her survivors include daughter Linda S., wife of Charles A. Roeder, of Allentown; brother Donald A. Werley of Harleysville; grandsons Jason and Matthew; and great-granddaughters Kaylin and Madison.
She was predeceased by a daughter Sharon L. Fichter, and siblings Francis, Geraldine, Ray, Gordon and Carlton.
