Margaret “Peggy” Stoisits, 91, died Feb. 23, 2019, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Allentown. She was the wife of the late Albert Stoisits of Northampton.
Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late John and Anna (Holzer) Fassman.
She was a 1945 graduate of Nazareth High School and, in 1948, of Sacred Heart Hospital School of Nursing.
She was enlisted in the U.S. Cadet Nurse Corps.
She was a registered nurse, first working at Sacred Heart Hospital and later, in private practice with Dr. John Kucharczuk. She co-owned Al’s Meat Market, Stiles.
She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Stiles.
She is survived by a son, John; two daughters, Jane and her husband Carl Hittner and Patricia and her husband Michael Stimpfl; three granddaughters, Allison, Amanda and Michelle; and six great-grandchildren, Jessica, Zayne, Anthony, Edward, Benjamin and Lilly.
She was predeceased by a brother, John; and three sisters, Vilma Szep, Frieda Braun and Anna Zimitz.
There will be a calling time 8:30-9:45 a.m. at the funeral home, 326 E. 21 St., Northampton, followed by a Mass of Christian burial 10:30 a.m. at the church, 3024 S. Ruch St., Whitehall, 18052, all March 1.
