Patriot boys and girls win

Freedom’s swim team picked up two wins last week when the Patriot girls defeated Pocono Mountain West, 127-56, and the Patriot boys also defeated Pocono Mountain West, 112-58.

Sage Hillier, Aliah Corrado, Abby Burnette, and Nicole Spaziani won the 200 medley relay for the girls in 2:07.69, and Dominic Fresoli, Sahil Shah, Andrew Ehret, and Danny Connell won the 200 medley relay for the boys in 1:55.15.

Sophie Twigger took first place in the 200 free in 2:20.83, and Al Bell won the same event in 1:46.65.

Hillier won the 200 IM in 2:37.59.

Corrado was first in the 50 free in 28.44, and Fresoli was also first in the 50 free in 25.72.

Sarah Gill came in first in the diving event with a score of 199.80.

Abby Burnette won the 100 butterfly in 1:05.94, Ehret also won the fly in 59.68, Twigger was first in the 100 free in 1:01.48, and Dylan Stahl also won the 100 free in 55.64.

Bell took first place in the 500 free in 5:03.48.

In the 200 free relay, Corrado, Twigger, Cailin Connelly, and Burnette came in first in 1:59.03 while Ehret, Jack Rosen, Paras Chand, and Stahl were out touched by Pocono Mountain West, 1:42.21-1:42.99.

Hillier placed first in the 100 backstroke in 1:10.40, and Ehret placed first in the same event in 1:00.36.

Corrado, Twigger, Burnette, and Hillier teamed up to win the 400 free relay in 4:18.67, and Stahl, Connell, Chand, and Luke McClure also won the 400 free relay in 3:50.29.

The Patriots’ final swim meet of the regular season is scheduled for this Thursday, Valentine’s Day, when they will take on their cross town rival at Liberty.
