William J. Pummer Jr., 75, of Quakertown and formerly of Northampton, died Feb. 2, 2019, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Quakertown. He was the husband of the late MaryAnn (Haldeman) Pummer.
Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late William J. Sr. and June E. (Foster) Pummer.
He was a senior airman in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.
He was self employed in the electronics field until he retired in 2007. He was a manager for R.E. Electronics, Piscataway, N.J., for five years and earlier was a manager for Siemens, Cherry Hill, N.J., for 15 years.
He was a member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, Egypt.
He was a past trustee of the Egypt Cemetery Association. He was a member of the former Travelers Protection Agency, Allentown, for many years.
He is survived by a son, William J. III with Katherine of Pennsburg; a brother, Ronald J. Pummer with Rainer of Hayward, Calif.; a sister, Susan J. and her husband Jeffrey Lentz of Walnutport; a daughter-in-law, Erin Pummer of Scranton; and five grandsons.
He was predeceased by a son, Alex J. Pummer.
