Paul F. Ruch, 92, of Maxatawny, died Feb. 5, 2019, Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.
He was the widower of Alma M. (Tressler) Ruch.
Born in Breinigsville, he was a son of the late Ralph and Hilda (Smith) Ruch.
A machinist and truck driver for the former Lehigh Portland Cement Co., Fogelsville, and a machinist at the former Tyler Pipe Co., Macungie, he retired in 1992.
He was a member of the Breinigsville VFW Post 8282, Topton American Legion, Kutztown Fire Company, and Grundsow Lodge 15.
He honorably and faithfully served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII.
A member of Ziegels Lutheran Church, Breinigsville, he served as past president of church council and past president of the cemetery association.
For many years, he was also in charge of the day-to-day operations of the cemetery.
His survivors include a son, Wayne P. and wife, Aldeena, of Wernersville; daughter Susan J. Bard and husband, Terrence, of Mertztown; brothers Sterling Peter of Topton, Ray Peter and wife, Susan, of Kutztown, and Forrest Peter of Allentown; sister Annabelle Koplin and husband, Maynard, of Topton; grandchildren Jason Ruch and Jennifer Hurter and husband, John; nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother John Peter.
