Janet (Jinks) Shoup, 97, of Easton and formerly of Allentown, died Jan. 26, 2019. She was the wife of John Shoup and of the late Dudley C. Jinks Sr.

Born in New Bedford, Mass., she was a daughter of Armond and Alice Pellitier.

She was a physical therapy aide at Warren Hospital for more than 24 years.

She was a blues singer and once sang with Jackie Cooper at the Globe Theatre, N.Y., where she met Frank Sinatra.

She was a member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Roman Catholic Church, Whitehall.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children, Albert and his wife Patricia Jinks of Easton, Roger and his wife Kathleen Jinks of Phillipsburg, N.J., and Jeannette and her husband Jeffrey Downing of Turner, Maine; a daughter-in-law, Carol Jinks of Allentown; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a son, Doug Jinks.

There will be a calling time 5-7 p.m. Feb. 15 in the funeral home, 444 Pershing Blvd., Whitehall. There will be a funeral Mass 10 a.m. Feb. 16 at St. Philip and St. James Church, 430 S. Main St., Phillipsburg, N.J.
