Lehigh Valley Health Network
Government shutdown news
Lehigh Valley Health Network has placed a hold on the medical bills of any patient who is a government employee and impacted by the recent partial federal government shutdown.
Those patients affected by the shutdown were given a 45-day delay in paying their bills when the shutdown ended. All health network services would be covered under the billing delay for these patients.
Patients who have already received care and would like to participate in having their billing delayed should call LVHN Patient Financial Services at 484-884-1300.
New health campus planned
Lehigh Valley Health Network will break ground in the spring of 2019 to begin building the first phase of a new health campus near Route 33 along Hecktown Road. The opening is projected to be in the fall 2020.
Plans include a 156,000-square-foot hospital and medical office building designed for easy patient access to advanced surgical, emergency areas, orthopedic care, advanced imaging, diagnostic testing and more.
The campus’ one-story hospital will be smaller and easy to navigate, with a space designed just for children and private patient rooms with views of the healing garden. The design of the campus also includes ample space for future growth.
