The Moravian College Writers’ Conference 2019 will be held on Feb. 15 in downtown Bethlehem.
Presentations include a generative writing workshop with King at 1:30 p.m, and a panel discussion with King, Josh Berk, Justina Ireland and Saundra Mitchell that asks What Books Can Do: Writing for Young People In an Age of Extremism and Chronic War, at 3:30 p.m., both located in the Priscilla Payne Hurd Academic Complex, Moravian College, 1200 Spring St. There will be a brief reception between the workshop and the panel in the atrium of the complex. Books will be available for purchase.
There will be a public reading, given by King which includes portions of her tenth novel, “Dig”, at 6:30 p.m. in the Bethlehem Area Public Library, 11 W. Church St.
The free, open to the public events are presented in collaboration with the College’s InFocus Programming on War, Peacebuilding and the Just Society; the Moravian College English Department and Arts and Lectures Committee; and the Bethlehem Area Public Library.
