David Bench, 74, of Schnecksville, died on Jan. 14, 2019, in the Inpatient Hospice Unit at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown.
He and his wife Carol (Harahus) Bench were married 43 years.
Born Aug. 1, 1944, in Palmerton, Carbon County, he was the son of the late John Sr. and Rose (Maren) Bench.
A 1962 graduate of Lehighton Area High School, he was an inventory clerk at Mack Trucks Inc., Allentown and Macungie, for 32 years before retiring.
He served in the U.S. Army Reserve and the Pennsylvania National Guard during the Vietnam War era.
He was a member of St. Paul Antiochian Orthodox Church, Emmaus.
In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by a son Robert D. of Walnutport; daughter Susan M. Brotzman and her husband, Daniel, of Forks Township; and grandchildren Kayla and Evan Brotzman.
He was predeceased by siblings Dorothy Nemetz and John Jr.
